Global Description
The BU Head Canada is responsible for defining medium and long-term growth strategy of Canada and implementing it in collaboration with Canadian employees, to generate profitable & sustainable growth. To grow company strategic pillars that are Microbiota Care & Women Health, the BU Head Canada should build a performing and learning organization focusing on attracting talents and being customer centric. The BU Head Canada is responsible for orchestrating sales and marketing strategies including digital transformation (e-commerce etc…), promoting HR, GCE and financial excellence and ensuring medical, quality and regulatory and HR compliance.
The BU Head Canada has full P&L responsibility and is in charge of road mapping proper delivery of both yearly budget and 3 years strategic plan. The BU Head Canada shall as well proactively look for non-organic business opportunity through business development and M&A initiatives.
The BU Head Canada is reporting to Affiliates’ Director.
Main missions are:
Update and propose action plans within the framework of Budget and reporting for the Canadian Market:
- Establish budget (1 year – operational plan) and strategic plan (3 years),
- Define priorities and corresponding strategy (incl. commercial and marketing) to be implemented,
- Evaluate the issues and set achievable objectives,
- Ask for the appropriate means to achieve these objectives,
- Respect budgetary commitments and optimize the corresponding investments,
Validate and ensure the implementation of the marketing and sales strategy in accordance with the overall strategy and in collaboration with local and global Teams to grow sustainable and profitable business:
- Develop existing product range.
- Diversify product portfolio focusing on strategic pillars (Microbiota care and Women Health) and innovate in order to develop and secure topline & market share growth,
- Identify and recommend acquisitions of synergetic products or companies or the development of distribution or representation partnerships,
- Optimize time to market & pricing strategy
- Closely follow-up negotiations with pharma chains and retailers in close collaboration with our broker,
- Ensure excellence in execution of the agreed action plan and tactics
- Follow up return on investments
- Supervise operations with headquarters functions and third parties (Finance, Supply, HR, Legal, Regulatory Affairs, Quality).
- Promote CSR as a valuer creator among the organization
- Aim for performance to stay one step ahead of our ecosystem by benchmarking & monitoring competitors
- Deliver top line & bottom line by managing her/his consolidated P&L
Manage an efficient and motivated team locally and develop people & organization:
- Set up and efficient / lean organizational structure and solve common HR challenges
- Attract, retain, and develop diversified talents
- Promote transparency, exemplarity, autonomy, entrepreneurship, and excellence
- Learn from all experiences, failures and successes (feedback culture)
- Develop management community
- Define clear role and responsibilities for each of our employees
- Fix common and aligned objectives among Biocodex employees

- Collaborate transversally with other GM / BU Head community and the global functions
Skills and Competencies:
- Management, communication and Leadership skills
- Transversal knowledge and experience in business management including sales, marketing, negotiation & possibly finance
- Master all the levers to optimize the P&L (Pricing, mix, resource allocation & risk and opportunities assessment)
- Deep understanding of key business evolution (digital transformation, e-commerce, etc)
- Excellent general knowledge about the economic, political, social current events of Canada
- Ability to solve problems and manage project (from strategy to operational execution)
- Fluency in French and English– required to speak, read and write.
Profile:
- Proven business track record with a strong commercial experience as KAM or Commercial Director in pharmacy / healthcare.
- 2-5 years of management experience with large teams
- Previous experience leading and managing a business unit with full P&L responsibility
- Exposed to business complexity & decision making in multicultural teams & environment
- Cultural and DNA fit to Biocodex
