We are currently looking for a HR & PAYROLL COORDINATOR to join our team
What you you can expect in this role:
The Payroll & HR Coordinator is central to our global human resources operations. The Coordinator runs our Canada and US payroll, maintains the human resources information system, and supports generalist HR activities in order to support the employee and leader experience.
More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities:
Owns day-to-day payroll related items and is the primary liaison with outsourced payroll vendors
Ensures payroll is processed compliantly on a bi-weekly basis in Canada and the United States, this includes reconciling expense reports, conducting regular payroll audits and disbursing government remittances such as worker’s compensation, payroll tax and garnishments
Maintains the global HRIS, and is responsible for employee and payroll reporting
Supports administrative HR activities related to recruitment, onboarding, training & development, compensation/benefits and employee relations. Primary HR support for our US-based operations team
Participates in continuous improvement projects with HR globally
Here’s the profile we’re looking for:
Degree in Human resources, Business administration, Finance or related
2+ years’ experience in payroll administration or related functions
Fluently bilingual in French and English required, +Spanish would be considered an asset
Payroll (PCP or other) and/or CHRP/PHR certifications considered an asset (or willingness to do these, the company will sponsor)
Discreet, kind and calm with a strong sense of service, as well as meticulous and analytical
Must enjoy a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities where change is part of the everyday
Should enjoy keeping up with progressive HR practices and trends to drive creative initiatives
Strong communication skills including: Oral, written and presentation skills
Knowledge of current federal employment law, HR theory and practices
Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as cloud-based HRIS and ATS systems
A few more relevant details:
Some travel may be required to visit local work sites in Quebec as well as within the Unites States
Hybrid/remote encouraged, we’re a fully distributed global team
