Senior Financial Analyst – Internal Controls

Summary

Bitfarms, through its Canadian operating entity Backbone Hosting Solutions Inc., is a publicly listed Bitcoin mining company (Nasdaq/TSXV: BITF). To support its infrastructure expansion and construction projects, Bitfarms is hiring a project administrator to join our team.

Reporting to the SVP Operations and Infrastructure as well as the VP of Finance the Project Administrator will be responsible for assisting in the project budgeting process, project tracking and reporting within the Company’s project management system. The Project Administrator will also provide budget to actual and status reporting to Operations leadership and the finance department.

· Assist in the maintenance, testing and design of internal control processes as well as the implementation of certification process and remediation plan and co-ordination with SOX consultants and external audit firm to maintain SOX compliance (50%)

· Assist in documentation of process narratives and controls (15%)

· Preparation and review of month-end closing tasks and analysis (15%)

· Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements as well as management discussion and analysis and co-ordinating with external audit firm in quarterly review and year-end audits (10%)

· Participate in the preparation of monthly internal management reporting, including analytical review, analysis of key operating metrics and review of general ledger reconciliations (5%)

· Assist in other special projects, such as financing, systems integrations/automations, ad hoc reporting requirements (5%)

Required qualifications

· CPA designation

· 3+ years experience involving the audit or internal controls for public company, Big Four experience is an asset

· Strong knowledge of internal controls, including SOX

· Strong Microsoft Office suite user (i.e. Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint)

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

· Bilingual (English and French)
