Bitnine (bitnine.net) is a global database management system software and data analysis solution provider operating in various countries including South Korea, Canada and the US.
We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive open-source community operations managers who can help the company to expand and grow its presence in Canada and globally.
This position must possess strong operational acumen, coupled with communication skills and information technology industry knowledge to drive the best outcome for increasing the global recognition of the company-driven open-source software projects and their communities.
Responsibilities
- Providing a direct and dedicated support to a number of specific individuals / open-source community members (hired by the company) to increase their participation in the open-source software projects driven by the company
- Synthesizing and summarizing the feedback from the open-source community members under the care and relay it effectively to company’s other departments
- Coordinating with other departments – such as strategic planning, product development / R&D, and content marketing – to implement and achieve the company’s strategies and objectives
- Moderating, engaging, and supporting the open-source community members in forums including GitHub, Discord, and Reddit
- Acquiring and sharing information, experience and community feedback to help increasing the adoption and recognition of the open-source software projects
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in an information technology field or one to three years’ related or specialized experience
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills : Ability to synthesize information into key messages appropriate for the audience
- Being passionate about helping others : Enjoying working with people and feeling validated by the success of the people
- Willingness to learn : Growing with the community members in many different stages and learning modes
- Proactive & results-oriented
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $45,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
