Biyork is now looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join our dynamic team and rapidly growing business!

As part of the Transportation Team the Logistics Coordinator is an integral hands-on role responsible for all transportation, logistics processes and operational performance within his or her assigned remit. The Logistics Coordinator reports into the Logistics Analyst and facilitates communication and coordination between various business functions and service providers to offer exceptional delivery services to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Schedule Inbound/Outbound last advance with carriers within assigned region

· Prepare daily BOLs for local & international LTL & TL deliveries (trucking companies & couriers)

· Coordinate order updates with the warehouse team

· Support the delivery of on time in full (OTIF / OTD) KPIs

· File claims for goods damaged in transit with respective trucking firms/couriers

· Track, coordinate shipments and communicate any delays to internal stakeholders in a timely manner

· Support the implementation of strategic operational plans to improve transportation lead times, freight costs and customer experience

· Generate reports for freight status in transit, freight costing and logistics performance metrics

· Participate in process improvement or implementation projects

· Communicates at various levels of management to ensure customer expectations are met and operational challenges are resolved in a timely manner

· Seek out and present process improvement opportunities

· Other duties as assigned

Required Experience:

· Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced supply-chain environment

· 1+ years of experience in Transportation / Logistics

· Experience in data entry is an asset

· Experience with a TMS / ERP system is an asset

Required Education:

· Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics or Supply-Chain preferred or;

· 2 years of additional experience in transportation or logistics or;

· Equivalent professional designation

Skills & Qualifications:

· Attention to detail is a must

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to manage workload by effectively prioritizing tasks to meet expectations and deadlines

· Strong knowledge of MS Excel is preferred

· Comfortable working in office and warehouse environments

· Proactive problem solving and analytical capabilities for data driven decision making

· P. Log, APICS CLTD, CITT or CTPAT qualifications are an asset
