To guide us along the way, we are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist with experience recruiting developers, project managers, supply chain specialists and more. Reporting to the Director, People & Culture, you will execute full cycle recruitment while collaborating to build a talent acquisition strategy. This is a fully remote role, open to candidates in Alberta, BC or Ontario.
What you’ll be responsible for:
You will independently and proactively manage full-cycle recruitment:
Working with the hiring manager to draft position profiles;
Post jobs based on best performing recruitment channels;
Sourcing both active and passive candidates;
Pre-screening candidates and presenting top candidates to hiring managers;
Interviewing candidates with hiring managers and providing tactful and professional coaching on interview techniques;
Scheduling interviews;
Managing candidate data and keeping records of all interactions (interview notes, references, etc.)
Conducting reference checks and other background checks as appropriate;
Providing the Director, People & Culture with a full candidate info package to initiate the offer letter process.
Build strong sourcing techniques with a good understanding of how and where to secure top talent as well as building strong talent pools and pipelines.
Collaborate with the Director, People & Culture and other stakeholders to execute our employer brand strategy;
Create and manage an exceptional candidate experience with a focus on maintaining company culture;
Collaborate with the team and key stakeholders throughout the recruitment process.
What you bring:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in full-cycle, high volume recruitment, experience within the tech sector preferred;
Demonstrated customer-focused attitude with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders;
Confidence and capability to deliver creative and innovative candidate sourcing strategies and techniques, including successful track record of sourcing passive candidates;
Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence building relationships internally and externally;
Experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS) and LinkedIn Recruiter;
G-suite experience would be an asset.
A desire to work collaboratively with the Director, People & Culture and the Senior People & Culture Generalist to build a fun, supportive and driven people department to enable BlackSquare to achieve organizational excellence.
