Job Title: Construction Estimator – Exterior Cladding & Siding

Location: REMOTE

Our estimating division is currently seeking a skilled exterior cladding professional to review construction drawings and complete quantity takeoffs.

Job Summary:

The Construction Estimator will play a crucial role in supporting our clients needs for quantity takeoffs. This is a fully remote position that involves analyzing drawings, completing detailed, accurate quantity takeoffs, and entering the data into a project-specific template format. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating with specific experience in exterior cladding and siding.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Analysis: Review architectural drawings and specifications to determine scope of work and required contents of the estimate.
• Remote Coordination: Coordinate with the Blueprint team to ensure all details, specifications, and the full scope of work is understood.
• Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks associated with project estimates and propose mitigation strategies.
• Scope Comprehension: A basic understanding of exterior cladding types, assemblies, and methods of constructability is required. Direction will be provided by project however a foundational understanding is required.
• Bid Submission: Prepare and submit bid packages, ensuring all client requirements are met and all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Market Analysis: Stay updated on market trends and developments in construction materials, costs, and technologies, particularly relating to exterior cladding and siding.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools through feedback and innovation.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, with specific experience in exterior cladding and siding.
• Proficiency in PlanSwift estimating software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and market trends.
• Excellent analytical, and organizational skills.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.

Working Conditions:

• This position is fully remote and requires a home office set up.
• 100% flexible working hours – the only requirement is to meet project deadlines.
