About Us:
The Technical Support Analyst is responsible for providing ongoing end-user support for users regarding all IT-related support at bmg Glass+Aluminum. The position will have a large customer service aspect by providing support services to employees to utilize all computer systems in the most effective and efficient way possible.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Work with employees to provide ongoing technical support by identifying computer problems and advising on the solution
- Perform hardware and software upgrades as required according to schedule
- Monitors and respond to requests in a timely manner
- Install, setup and maintain all computer hardware and software at all company locations
- Facilitate IT requests and requirements with Third-Party IT Provider
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
- Ability to work quickly and effectively
- Support customer service and interpersonal skills
- Assist with the moves of IT equipment to new office locations
- Provide IT support, locally and remotely
- Assist in the installation, deployment, troubleshooting, and management of servers, desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, software, peripherals, mobile phones, and various custom toolsets used by all staff
- Knowledge of information systems from functional and technical perspectives
- Respond to service requests and help develop “ticket system”
- Analytical, logical thinking and discretion with a high degree of accuracy
Required Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in a computer-related program with 1-5 years experience in an IT help desk role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Working knowledge of the following: Windows O/S, Microsoft Office, Office 365, Remote Management Software
- Nice to have knowledge: Basic networking, Mobile phones
Experience:
- Computer-related program: 3 years (preferred)
- Working knowledge of Windows OS/ Microsoft Office: 1 year (preferred)
- Prior experience with ERP Implementation and server-based environment
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
