As the Head of Global Luxury & Corporate Communications you will be responsible for the strategic global positioning of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars as a leading House of Luxury. You’ll have responsibility for the successful external communication of corporate and strategic topics, including environmental, social and governance (ESG). Includes comprehensive management of relevant media events, activities and asset generation, including agency management.

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for designing and executing a strategic communications plan to position Rolls-Royce Motor Cars clearly as a global, leading House of Luxury and a highly successful, innovative business.
• Communicates effectively to media to ensure positive coverage in target luxury / business / lifestyle media (‘target media’) in all global markets.
• Meticulously manages agencies to deliver brand-relevant and corporate communications to an exceptional standard and within budget.
• Designs, manages and controls budgets to ensure effective cost control and optimum use of available resource.
• Tactically leverages regional communications colleagues to secure positive coverage in global target media, increasing international reach and enhancing global brand appeal.
• Strategically initiates, designs, plans and executes projects to ensure positive brand, corporate and Bespoke coverage in target media in all global markets.
• Represents Rolls-Royce Motor Cars as a primary spokesperson on luxury, brand and corporate topics.
• Designs and produces press releases, photography, speeches, press packs and other assets to achieve positive target media coverage on a global scale.
• Manages appointed agencies to assist target media communications, including logistics and event management.
• Responsible for key social media channels – Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, CEO LinkedIn account and corporate YouTube channel – to enhance and support brand and corporate positioning with the wider public and influential persons.
• Manages Brand and Corporate Communications Manager.
• Safeguards the reputation of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars through effective pro-active and reactive communication and media engagement, including crisis communications management where required.
• Influences positive public perception of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars as a leading House of Luxury and an innovative, highly successful business.

Qualification:

• Relevant degree or experience.
• Substantial experience with a luxury brand.
• Significant experience in public relations, having maintained direct contact with the most highly influential media throughout.
• Proven track-record as a successful manager: ability to manage both individuals and teams, budget management, significant organisational, scheduling and coordination experience.
• Willingness and ability to provide support wherever necessary to ensure success of projects and events.
• An ability to communicate effectively and work productively with people at all levels.
• Outstanding level of written and verbal communication.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of global luxury/business/lifestyle media and direct, personal contact to leading journalists at the relevant outlets.
• Excellent understanding of social media in a corporate communications context.
• Patience and diplomacy – an excellent team player.
