The position at a glance
Part of Global Banking Americas, Loan Transaction Support (LTC) is a transversal team serving the CIB Americas Corporate Platform with focus on three key missions:
i.Serve as the first level of control to safeguard the Bank by applying effective, accurate and timely controls to address regulatory, compliance, operational and credit risks
ii. Provide client service and transaction execution support to facilitate best-in-class solutions for our clients
iii.Perform tasks requiring situational banker support, complex transaction management, and specialized sector knowledge
In detail
- Work with Accounting Norm, Finance, and Operations on the closing of restructurings on the proper accounting treatment and operational workaround solutions to accommodate bookings of unique transactions.
- Provide middle office, portfolio, and administration support to the Bank’s asset workout team (Value Preservation Group) on the Bank’s distressed asset portfolio and restructuring activities.
- Manage the Bank’s provision tool (MIRO) and provide guidance on the accounting requirements and provisioning methodology.
- Serve as subject matter expert (SME) for various credit and regulatory topics for distressed credits.
- Perform GRR back-testing for doubtful files.
- Contribute to reporting for managements and regulators.
The Strengths And Skills That Will Help You Succeed
Minimum required qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in relevant skills
- BS or MBA degree in Finance, Accounting, or related fields
- Knowledge of the financial/banking industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Audit and/or Consulting background, a plus
- IFRS Accounting knowledge
- Able to express technical and business concepts orally and in writing
- Proficiency in Microsoft office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Analytical and detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and lead team
- Knowledge in English is required
