Job Description:

We are currently seeking a self-motivated Field Service Technician to fill a position that will be based in North Bay, Ontario . This position is a full-time role and the hours of work will be 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday.

Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

Detecting and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions
Constructing foundations for machinery
Assembling machinery prior to installation
Installing machinery and mechanical equipment
Repairing or replacing defective machinery parts
Fabricating parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
Performing routine maintenance work on machinery
Commissioning Drill Rigs in Workshop & Mine properties
Providing support to the Fleet and Asset Managers as needed

Required Skills and Experience :

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
Licensed Mechanic
Able to meet the physical requirements of the job including lifting and bending
Committed to safe practices at all times
Able to work effectively in a fast paced environment
Willing to learn
Strong team player with good communication skills
Adept at job task planning, organizing and problem solving
Excellent critical thinking and decision making skills
Red Seal Trade Certification would be an asset
