About the role
As part of our Veracio team, this role will hold responsibility for training and supporting our TruTools clients including Boart Longyear Drilling Services, third party drilling contractors, and mining clients. This role will be based in North Bay, Ontario, with regional travel required and working hours that will exceed 40 hours per week, as required.
We are looking for a motivated individual with a background in drilling and the use of digital technologies. This could be well suited to a tech savvy driller assistant who has mine site experience and an aptitude for technology.

This position is a full-time role, and the hours of work will be 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday.
Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):
Provide regular onsite technical support to customers on the use of our Veracio core orientation and survey equipment, both magnetic and gyroscopic.
Assist in the onboarding of customers onto cloud-based applications and associated troubleshooting to get data reporting to those applications.
Calibrate tooling and assist with inventory management.
Liaise with customers and assist with technical issues, warranty claims and other ad hoc service issues.
Troubleshoot and conduct technical investigations as required to support the resolution of any problems.
Conduct product testing with new and existing customer, to assess and improve product performance.
Work with key internal and external stakeholders to develop new business, including: identifying new opportunities, coordinating onsite product trials with prospective new customers and input into new product development.
Travel regularly within the North American region, including on short notice, to fulfil the above responsibilities.
Required Skills and Experience :
The successful candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Diamond Drilling industry experience (minimum of 6 months)
Solid understanding of Drilling/ Mining products and experience in the Mining and Exploration drilling processes. Technically proficiently in Boart Longyear Drilling products is desired but not essential
Excellent customer service orientation
Ability to maintain relationships with key account customers and internal team
Excellent communication skills – oral and written
Attention to detail and strong initiative
Proficient in MS Office suite
A current drivers license
Ability to travel on a regular basis on short notice
The successful candidate must also be able to handle responsibility and the pressure of meeting deadlines.

Reporting Relationship
The position reports directly to the TruTools Commercial Sales Sr. Manager, who is located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
