Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. Global Technical Operations, Field Operations is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Aircraft Maintenance Manager to support Canada Operational & Intermediate (O&I) Level Maintenance Augmentation Support Team (MAST) under the United States Government C-17 G3 Sustainment Contract.
On “Contract Award” will manage aircraft technicians completing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities for retrofit, repairs, and modification on the Royal Canadian Air Force CC177 Globemaster III Aircraft at 429 Transport Squadron, Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Trenton Ontario.
The Maintenance Manager will report directly to Global Technical Operations Senior Manager in the United Kingdom as part of a larger Field Operations International C-17 Maintenance community. The MAST will be part of the existing C-17 International Field Service Team at CFB Trenton and will report to the Boeing Base Manager for Day to Day on-site operations.
Position Responsibilities:
You will act as ambassador for Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. at appropriate client organization levels and will be responsible for generating full or elements of, execution solutions in line with the contractual requirements.
Manage the day to day maintenance operations ensuring that the Customer and organizational procedures and standards are complied with at all times.
Labour planning, staffing, training, time management, performance management and personal development.
Ensure timely execution of all maintenance activities ensuring the Customer aircraft is returned to service in a timely manner to the required standard meeting Boeing’s and Royal Canadian Air Force Airworthiness requirements.
Management of cost target and identify cost reduction initiatives within the maintenance environment.
Meet training requirements for mandatory and non-mandatory training.
Perform frequent operations reviews with on-site Base Manager and other stakeholders.
Promote Safety Culture, First Time Quality, FOD Reporting, advising Boeing on-site Manager of any compliance risk/escapes during Maintenance Operations.
Perform mandatory reporting as required IAW Performance of Work Statement and US GOV Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL).
Work with the Quality/Safety Teams to address occurrences and audit findings in a timely manner.
Develop and motivate a team of diverse skills, capability, and experience to maximize individual and team performance.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Canadian High school diploma or recognized equivalency
5+ years of experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Manager/Supervisor
Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force operations and aircraft maintenance practices
Must have knowledge and use of project management skills i.e. problem solving, technical skills
Experience in managing performance-based aircraft maintenance contracts
Ability to travel up to 10% to domestic or international sites, sometimes at short notice
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Must be willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense-related programs with no restrictions
Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
5+ years’ experience with Canadian Aviation Regulations and Aircraft Airworthiness Directives
Department of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program
Canadian CC177 Globemaster III Aircraft Senior Maintenance Manager Course or C-17 Type Course via Air Educational and Training Commend (AETC)
Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems
Typical Education and Experience:
Must have a Canadian High school diploma or recognized equivalency
Aviation Maintenance Management Program or related work experience

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
