Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. BGS Total Quality, QA Modification/Maintenance & Compliance, Field Support Operations is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Quality Production Specialist in support of Canada Operational & Intermediate (O&I) Level Maintenance Augmentation Support Team (MAST) under the United States Government C-17 G3 Sustainment Contract.
On “Contract Award” key roles supporting Boeing’s Quality Management System (QMS) based on AS9100 which is the internationally recognized and premier aerospace QMS Standard. QMS and Boeing’s Safety Management System (SMS) work together and are built in the company’s organizational structure policies, processes, procedures and resources. QMS and SMS are designed to enable stability through the One Boeing Production System (One BPS) in providing quality assurance against AS9100 standards for aerospace.
The Quality Production Specialist will report directly to the Quality Field Support Operations Manager in the United States as part of a larger C-17 Quality community. The MAST and all positions supporting will be part of the existing C-17 International Field Service Team at CFB Trenton, 429 Transport Squadron and will report to the Boeing Base Manager for Day to Day on-site operations.
Position Responsibilities:
Provide QMS oversight that is compliant with Boeing processes and procedures, customer requirements, international and regulatory requirements in support of the MAST
Perform on-site QA management in support of the MAST
Perform QA checks of Maintenance Technicians work activities ensuring compliance with applicable Technical Orders/Publications
Perform QA checks of Maintenance records using 429 Transport Squadron Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS), current ERKS used is Automated Data Aircraft Management (ADAM) system
Apply knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems in support of Deficiency Reporting
Train and mentor fellow employees in the Quality Management System (QMS) and Safety Management System (SMS)
Perform root cause analysis on the non-conformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence
Promote Safety Culture, First Time Quality, and FOD Reporting, advising Boeing Maintenance Manager and Boeing on-site Manager of any compliance risks/escapes during Maintenance Operations
Perform mandatory reporting as required IAW Performance of Work Statement and US GOV Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL)
Work with the Quality/Safety Teams to address occurrences and audit findings in a timely manner
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Canadian High school diploma or recognized equivalency
5+ years of experience working Aerospace
3+ years’ experience in Quality
Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force operations and aircraft maintenance practices
Must have knowledge and use of project management skills i.e. problem solving, technical skills
Experience in managing performance-based aircraft maintenance contracts
Ability to travel up to 10% to domestic or international sites, sometimes at short notice
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Must be willing and eligible to work on Canadian government and defense-related programs with no restrictions
Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Department of Defense/Canadian Armed Forces Airworthiness Program
Canadian CC177 Globemaster III Aircraft Senior Maintenance Manager Course or C-17 Type Course via Air Educational and Training Commend (AETC)
Proven knowledge and proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and the ability to learn in-house systems
Typical Education and Experience:
AA degree in related discipline and typically 6 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
The ability to work on a Canadian Government Federal Establishment (CFB Trenton) with no restrictions.
