Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is currently seeking a Tool Design Technologist Intern, working out of the Winnipeg, MB location. This internship is a 4-month opportunity working on day shift.
We are looking for current post-secondary technologist students who are interested in working side-by-side with experienced Engineering professionals. Our student Interns are given a unique experience as they learn the ropes and attain newfound competencies. Interns are exposed to on-the-job challenges as they work on hands-on tasks, undergo training, and have the opportunity to work on special projects. Supports the investigation of basic equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements.
Participates in design reviews, collects design requirements, creates and revises drawings and models, researches the application of robotics, automation and new technology to support the build plan.
Checks designs for compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.
Supports the development and documentation of equipment and tooling inspection and usage instructions, preventative maintenance plans, and user training.
Provides technical support for engineering changes and discrepancies by investigating problems and analyzing data to identify solutions.
Maintains hardware and software configuration.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Winnipeg, MB.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Must be enrolled as a full-time student with an accredited university or college.
Must have advanced ability in the use of Microsoft Office which includes Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Prefer previous internship experience.
Experience in the use of CATIA or equivalent 3D Modelling software
Experience and knowledge of aerospace structures and/or composite materials would be beneficial.
Hands-on experience with tools would be considered an asset.
Experience working with Microsoft Access would be considered an asset.
