Inventory & Logistics Lead

The Inventory & Logistics Lead is a key role supporting the Inventory & Logistics Supervisor with the day-to-day supervision of the Inventory, Logistics and Casing areas, overseeing a team and ensuring an efficient operation in achieving business targets. Provide leadership and line supervision to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring any issues, and ensuring targets, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and quality standards are met in order to meet the requirements of the customer. Develop the team by focusing on individual performance, training and support requirements to achieve high standards, whilst fostering a culture of working safely in a rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Complete and accurate maintenance of all documentation required for Good Production Practices (GPP) compliance during Inventory and Casing processes
· Directs movement of inventory between work areas and Secure Storage Room (SSR)
· Assist with developing, implementing and executing standardized practices for transfer of material between work areas and SSR, order processing & fulfillment and shipping & receiving of cannabis
· Coordinate and verify records on incoming and outgoing orders, and preparing items for shipment
· Ensure accuracy and completion for Casing of cannabis products for Retail Sale
· Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize inventory process
· Keep SSR clean and organized
· Assist in the creation and revision of; Standard Operating Procedures, Master Batch Production Records, Protocols, and Controlled Forms as required
· Assess priorities with attention to detail
· Work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
· Exercise leadership within the team by assisting with the organization, scheduling, training, evaluating and coordinating the work of others
· Ability to work quickly, efficiently and reliably in a fast-paced work environment
· Ensure data from all Inventory and Casing activities is accurately recoded into the Enterprise resource planning software (ERP)
· Assist in verifying the accuracy of Associate’s timecards
· Other duties as assigned by Management from time to time to meet the Company’s goals and objectives
Requirements
· Team player who promotes a culture of professionalism, integrity, quality, and teamwork
· Ability to prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment
· 3 + years’ experience working with an ERP system
· Proficient in Microsoft Office
· Knowledge of inventory control and flow
· Capable of following strict processes and procedure, with the ability to work with minimal supervision quickly and accurately
· Excellent English communication skills (both written and verbal)
· Valid driver’s license and/or reliable form of transportation
· Health Canada’s Cannabis Tracking and Licensing System (CTLS) clearance considered an asset
· GPP or GMP considered an asset
Work Conditions
· Physically demanding, repetitive and strenuous work
· Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30 (half hour unpaid lunch)
· Availability to work full time with flexibility to work overtime
· Indoor conditions
· Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
· Must be able to meet required security clearance such as background and police clearance
