Bollore Logistics is looking to add a full-time Supply Chain Engineer. This position supports business development by leading the implementation of new customer operations and/or new services in our logistics operations. The Supply Chain Engineer reports to the Head of Supply Chain Solutions, Americas
Responsibilities
The Supply Chain Engineer actively promotes a culture of Continuous Improvement, leads teams in continuous improvement activities, process redesign and waste elimination. Performs analysis, suggests improvements and coordinates implementation of continuous improvement plans to enhance performance, quality and safety, reduce costs and achieve budget targets in logistic operations. Integrated in our logistics platform in Montreal, the Supply Chain Engineer is a key contact for our customers KPI’s and continuous improvement initiatives.
– Implements and follows-up on KPIs as per contracts with customers as well as for internal controls
– Implements daily, weekly, and monthly reporting requirements for performance, compliance and analytics and assists team in evaluating and analyzing KPIs.
– Prepares monthly business reviews (MBR), as well as QBR (quarterly) and YBR (yearly) and participates in stakeholder meetings.
– Prepares reports for management and customers as may be required with recommendations to improve supply chains.
– Develops a culture of continuous improvement within the teams
– Supports the development and alignment with customers on process improvements and/or enhancement strategies
– Collaborates with logistics management teams to determine optimization service level strategies, maintain supply-chain efficiencies, and/or minimize costs.
– Works with department leaders to identify areas of opportunity whether related to savings or product utilization.
– Applies analytic methods or tools to understand, predict, or control logistics operations or processes.
– Supports operations in establishing SOPs to improve efficiencies, quality and on-the -job training.
– Provides tools and methods to analyze client forecasts and historical trends to create objectives to optimize management, equipment, resources, and staffing
– Leads local projects either from customer initiatives or from Bollore’s direction.
– Coordinates projects with internal and external stakeholders, issues progress reports, maintains issue logs and project reports as needed
– Supports the implementation of new accounts in the warehouse by leading the implementation of new infrastructure, systems and coordinates with internal & external stakeholders.
– Performs audits of other Bollore Logistics operations and/or supports specific projects if needed
– Other duties may be assigned
