In your role, you will
Participate in technical reviews and configuration decisions as an expert in the structural strength field
Lead and carry out stress calculations to assess design solutions and trade studies
Liaise with Design to ensure stress requirements are fully integrated
Recommend and document methodologies and develop the associated tools to support technology maturity roadmaps
Prepare and review the required engineering documentation, i.e., manuals, requirements, reports, presentations, justification notes and memos, stress analysis files and models, among others
Elaborate risk management matrix and mitigation plans
Define strategy for achieving projects goals: content, scope of work, costs, risks
Provide visibility to management as needed
As our ideal candidate
You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering
You have a minimum of 15 years of advanced structural analysis experience in static, fatigue and damage tolerance of primary structures and system components (metallic and composite)
You have a minimum of 5 years of sizing and justification of in-service airframe modifications
You have a control goods clearance status or are eligible to it
You are proficient in using software packages such as MSC PATRAN/NASTRAN, Hyper Works, LS-DYNA as well as CATIAv5, NASGRO and the MS Software Suite (MSWord, MS Excel)
You have the ability to navigate a dynamic context with low level of requirements definition
You have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
You have strong communication skills and can easily tailor your communication to suit the audience. You strive for harmonious cohesive teamwork
You have a good understanding of aircraft manufacturing methods and processes, including in-service modifications
