THE OPPORTUNITY

Requirements

We’re seeking a Frontend Engineer to play a crucial role in our company’s growth and success. This individual will focus on implementing user-facing UI and UX, working with the core engineering team to help develop best practices and code patterns, and work with our Product, Design, and Backend representatives to implement new features.

This role will report directly to the Director of Engineering, and work closely with all departments.

Candidates must be able to overlap their workday with Pacific Time (PST)

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years experience
• Strong understanding of Javascript, React and Next.js
• Experience with auditing and refactoring existing frontend patterns
• Capable of leading/enforcing design patterns and frontend architecture
• Comfortable expressing opinions on third-party solutions/services
• Strong communication skills – proficient in both written and verbal english
• Autonomous and capable of unblocking yourself
• Possess the ability to see, flag, and fix issues as you see them come up
• Experience in build consumer interfaces, working with product and UX teams

Bonus : Experience with Vercel (CDN and caching best practices), A/B testing practices, Mixpanel, SEO optimization, Next.js SSR/CSR/Static Rendering patterns and middleware, Github Projects, and Nest.js (Node backend)

What You’ll Be Working On

Responsibilities:

• Working with the core engineering team and Product/Design to implement UI and UX changes and new features
• Audit and recommend best practices, tooling, and workflows for improving the health and longevity of our frontend application
• Work with our Backend engineers to ensure tight data contracts between apps and help develop requirements for new endpoints
• Be an active voice and contributor to our growing team and be able to translate technical topics to non-technical audiences
