What You’ll Be Working On
This position could be either a part time or full time which will support and report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer, with potential to move into the Chief Strategy Officer role themselves.
Key Responsibilities:
- Marketing Leadership
- Position services
- Create decks
- Maintain quality control with all written marketing materials
- Product Strategy
- Design the concept and revenue model for a new product or business line
- Build initial marketing and promotional materials
- Build mockups and working prototypes (usually in spreadsheets)
- Design & conduct initial market research / testing with prospective clients
- Present to prospective clients and incorporate feedback
- Define ramp-up and implementation plan
- Build an investor deck and pitch to prospective investors h. Oversee writing of patent
- Head Practice Lead
- Serve as de facto practice lead for the following practices that are not currently staffed:
- Market research
- Positioning strategy
- Financial modeling
- Legal strategy / contracts
- Presentation building – investor, sales, strategy
- Tech leadership
- Co-lead facets of practices that are currently staffed
- Investor presentation review for fundraising practice
- Mission vision values / logic models in impact practice
- Serve as the backup for each practice lead in case of absence or lack of fit with a client
- Being able to create and present any deliverable required at any stage of the project
- Learning and Development
- Provide edits and feedback on each deliverable to both ensure fit to
company standards and provide guidance for future improvement
- Identify gaps in the skills or knowledge of employees and provide training or opportunities for professional development
- Mentor employees
- Consulting Leadership
- Attend all status calls for paying clients as exec lead
- Main presenter in major client presentations (kickoff / major deliverables)
- Oversee execution and quality of all service delivery, reviewing each
deliverable in detail
- Mediate conflicts between other staff and clients, serving as representative
or go-between when needed
- Renegotiate terms of contracts and resolve disputes as needed
- People Management
- Recruit, hire, and onboard analysts and practice leads
- Perform regular check-in meetings and periodic performance reviews with all analysts and practice leads
- Delegate responsibilities, monitor performance, and provide feedback d. Assess and help improve team morale
