Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Officer to join our team. The Safety Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees and visitors at our company. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of provincial safety regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards and risks
• Investigate accidents or incidents and provide detailed reports
• Train employees on safety protocols and procedures
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations and standards
• Collaborate with management to develop strategies for improving safety performance
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions
• Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and changes in safety regulations

Qualifications

• Health & Safety and Occupational Health knowledge
• Experience in accident investigation and security implementation
• Safety Training expertise
• Education and certification in Occupational Health and Safety or related field required
• Proven experience as a Safety Officer or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and standards
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in using construction management software for tracking safety data
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Construction industry experience
• Certifications such as Construction Safety Officer (CSO) or National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO)
