Bright Star Counselling is currently looking for a FAMILY THERAPIST with a minimum of a Master degree, registered with a professional college/organization. At least 5 years + experience working within a CBT, EFT and family systems approach. The candidate would join the busy clinic that is currently staffed by two registered social worker seven RCC and 1 OT. The position is for 1 -4 days a week to provide private counselling to families with high conflict divorce, co parenting support, generational trauma, mental health and parenting support.
The work is based on referrals that come through the clinic – clinic has an excellent reputation and strong relationships with family doctors, nurses, and community associations with a strong referral base.
This is a split fee position.
Full time admin support, computer, fax /printer, office booking software, email and confidential software to record session notes and financials are included.
Access to clinical lead, as is being part of weekly supervision meetings. Training opportunities are also available.
The ideal candidate has a passion for treating families, is creative and a self starter, confident treating high conflict families and not afraid of triaging and managing various treatment needs. This is NOT an entry to practice position. This is a great opportunity for a practitioner would likes to work in private practice, without the admin work, advertising and cost of building a counselling practice alone and who enjoys working as part of a supportive and fun team!
