Product Manager

Introduction
We are currently hiring a Product Manager – Safety Analytics for our mining technologies client in Vancouver, BC. As the Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing the strategy and roadmap for our client’s data and analytics solutions related to the operational and safety portfolios. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, including engineering, data science, operations, and product and business teams, to deliver high-value data-driven products that provide actionable insights and drive business outcomes. This is a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities
· Define and articulate the vision for data and analytics solutions, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals
· Collaborate with internal and external customers to identify and prioritize data needs and translate customer problems into business solutions
· Extract, prioritize, and document product requirements
· Develop and maintain a product roadmap for analytics solutions, balancing short-term priorities with long-term strategic initiatives
· Work closely guiding Product Owners to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of features, managing the entire lifecycle from conception to launch
· Serve as a subject matter expert on the domain data allowing the developers and Product Owner to consult you for guidance while building solutions
· Drive solution adoption and usage, working with customer success and marketing to create compelling messaging and materials
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between solution projects, technical capabilities, and business objectives
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in STEM (i.e. Computer Science, Data Science or Engineering)
· 7+ years of professional experience (minimum 1 year of Product Management)
· Broad understanding of analytics tools across the data pipeline from ingestion to presentation
· Mining experience, ideally with fleet management and/or mine safety systems
· Strong understanding of product economics (i.e. NPV, IRR, payback periods, etc.)
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills including preparation and presentations of business plans for executive level
· Experience with modern business data storage, management and visualization tools and systems
· Ability to work independently as well as in a team, in both remote (WFH) and office environments
· Effective time management, including the ability to balance work/life while working with international teams which sometimes requires non-typical working hours
· Certification in Agile (SaFe, Scrum, Product Owner etc)
· Certification in Project Management
· Experience managing direct reports
· Experience across the mining value chain including mine planning, load & haul and processing
· Travel: * Up to 25% domestic and/or international travel
· English fluent. Other beneficial languages include Spanish, Portugese, and Bahasa
· Salary commensurate with experience and work location
