We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance leader to join our rapidly growing development team at Bucketlist. As a dynamic startup we are seeking someone to help take our software development process to the next level as we scale up. Responsibilities: *
- Build a strong relationship with the development and product teams to understand our product and all of its intricacies
- Lead the QA team – mentoring less experienced testers
- Monitor the quality of our product and continuously suggest improvements in functionality, performance, scalability and security
- Implement a test case management system
- Develop and execute a testing strategy – including management of test plans, test cases, and test runs
- Become an expert in the product and enhance our technical documentation and knowledge base
- Design and develop our testing framework, test plans, and automation tests
- Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team, our automated tests and product design
- Enhance testing integrations within continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD)
- Debug and manage defect prioritization in partnership with our Support and Product teams
- Assist in the collection and documentation of requirements, estimates and roadmap plans
- Help develop best practices aimed at keeping security central to all key processes
- Support the Development team Agile processes
Required Skills for Success:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Automated QA testing tools such as Cypress, Selenium, LoadRunner or others
- Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally and across teams
- Experience testing cloud-based infrastructure solutions with a strong governance model knowledge
- QA automation through scripting and testing tools
- Knowledge of Git, and CI/CD tools (i.e. Jenkins, BitBucket pipelines, etc)
- Previous experience with agile methodologies to plan and manage daily tasks
- Ability to quickly identify problems or bottlenecks in everyday processes and suggest improvements
- Experience in performing risk assessments and gap analysis
- Ability to take initiative, innovate and experiment
Nice to have:
- Experience with docker and AWS
- Experience with Linux – command line
- Proficiency in Python or other programming languages
- Experience with PostgreSQL or other databases
- Experience with strategic planning for information security and developing information security policies and frameworks
