Our client, is a leading provider of advanced engineering solutions in the defense and automotive sectors. With a strong commitment to innovation and quality, they specialize in the design and manufacture of high-performance suspension systems and other precision components. They are seeking a skilled and dedicated machinist to join our esteemed team in Brampton, Ontario.
As a Buyer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, components and services. This position demands a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of supply chain and procurement processes.

What Will You Be Doing
- Source and purchase materials, components, and equipment for the manufacturing process, ensuring timely delivery and cost efficiency
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and competitive pricing
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure all materials meet company specifications and production schedules
- Monitor inventory levels and manage replenishment strategies to avoid shortages and excess
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure the best possible deals
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, invoices, and supplier agreements
- Analyze market trends and forecasts to anticipate material needs and potential disruptions in supply chains
What You Will Need
- Previous experience as a Buyer, Procurement Specialist, or similar role in a manufacturing environment
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field is preferred
