Summary:
The Retail Lead is responsible for supporting the Front End / Receiving Manager in overseeing the successful day to day operations of the Cashier, Customer Service, Cash Office, In-Store-Pick-Up, Switchboard, and the Backroom department.
Responsibilities:
· Supervise a team of 20-40 service Outfitters in partnership with the manager and other Leads;
· Delegate tasks and work assignment to team members by giving clear and concise direction, and follow up to ensure proper execution;
· Support the manager with motivating, engaging, coaching, and creating a fun and supportive work environment for team members;
· Respond to and resolve customer issues by using good judgment and logic in solving problems and making decisions within the job scope;
· Provide legendary customer service every time by listening to customer concerns and needs, researching and offering solutions, and adhering to company guidelines and policies;
· Promote Cabela’s programs to team members and customers, and lead the team to achieve assigned targets, goals, and metrics;
· Foster the growth and development of team members by training POS transactions, SAP processes, applicable department standard operating procedures, and helping to coordinate the timely completion of online training for team members;
· Ensure team members follow all standard operating procedures and systems processes, following up to provide correction and guidance when needed, and reporting violations to the manager;
· Perform administrative tasks related to the operation of the front end departments;
· Process returns and other special orders such as holds and outdoor licensing;
· Assist with weekly and monthly auditing of licenses, holds, returns and gift cards;
· Maintain visual presentation standards including in-store signage, merchandise recovering/front facing, restocking, remerchandising, dusting, and vacuuming sales floor as needed;
· Assist in other areas of the store when needed.
Qualifications:
· 1 or more years of supervisory experience in a retail or sales environment, specifically with processing cash, credit and debit transactions ;
· 1 or more years’ of warehouse experience is preferred
· 1 or more years’ supervisory experience is preferred
· Skill in operating various warehouse equipment including pallet jack, hand lifts, and clothing carts
· Skill in operating various retail/office equipment including RF system, tagging machine, and computer terminal
· Open scheduling availability: This position will be scheduled to work store opening and closing shifts, as well as a rotation of weekends;
· High School Diploma or equivalent;
· Must be able to obtain a Firearms Possession and Acquisition License (PAL);
· Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time;
· Passion for the outdoor lifestyle;

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
· Demonstrated ability to take initiative and action quickly;
· Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills;
· Passion for customer service.
