What you would be doing:
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, you will enhance our organizations effectiveness by leading health and safety, human resource strategy development, employee relations, team development, and adherence to human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Human Capital – Strategy and Management – Act as a consult for developing high-performing teams and providing human insight. Provide consult to the management team to ensure our people feel a sense of pride, respect, fairness, credibility, and camaraderie. Be the representative for the perspective of the employees in current decisions and future plans, presenting to managers when that insight could be beneficial to them and the company.
HR Team – Support, coach, and develop your team by conducting on-going performance management, including annual performance development reviews and career pathing discussions.
Management Performance – Ensure the management team is maximizing their human capital – that they are engaging, training, managing, leading, coaching and that objectives, goals, and strategies relative to people are clear, understood, and meaningful.
HR Management – Provide solid practices that ensure legal compliance to mitigate risks and implement best human resource practices.
Compensation and Benefits – Conduct job evaluations, continuously reviewing market conditions to make informed recommendations on compensation changes, programs and pay structure. Oversee and provide guidance for benefits programming, assessing benefit needs and trends making well thought out recommendations to management.
Training and Development – Ensure that all employees are progressing with training and development plans for career paths and longer-term competency development and succession planning.
Recruiting – Develop and implement strategy to attract, recruit, and retain talented employees including orientation, supporting onboarding programs for managers.
HR Administration – Oversee all payroll and benefits administration and prepare, update, and recommend new human resource policies and procedures.
Covid and Collaboration; Change management – Develop policy, procedure, and monitor to support all work arrangements.

What you bring:
Decision-making skills: Proven ability be able to evaluate different options and decide the best course of action using critical thought processes.

Leadership skills: Ability to direct staff and oversee the operations of the Human Resource department, coordinating work activities and ensuring that workers in the department complete their duties and fulfill their responsibilities.
Organizational skills: Proven ability to manage several projects at once and prioritize tasks, demonstrating the ability to follow up and follow through.
Communication skills: Highly effective at actively listening, seeking to understand. Clearly communicate information and instructions to management team and other employees for presentations or directing workload.
Technical skills: Knowledge of HR systems and databases and proficiency using Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Change management: Proven ability with managing organizational change with a desire to learn, adapt and accept new challenges.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Compensation:
$80,000 to $100,000 per annum.
