Calgary Countertops, a local growing company, requires an fabricator and/or installer to fill one full time position. No experience in this field is required however preference will be given to those with experience. Salary during training is $18-$25 per hour and when training is complete $20-$28 per hour depending on experience. Vehicle allowance, company vehicle and medical benefits may also be available for the right candidate. Pay is done weekly via direct deposit with full government deductions and T4s.
Typically work is Mon-Fri but may involved the odd Saturday. This position may involve out of town travel a few nights per week to Red Deer, Edmonton and other areas, etc. however hotel and expenses are covered. Travel would be limited and would generally be not longer than 1-2 nights (3-5 nights per month) and is not frequent.
This position is to help in our quartz/granite overlay business. This is a specialty product that consists of thin quartz built to fit over existing countertop and other surfaces. Experiece in quartz or stone fabrication is helpful but not essential. Attention to detail, construction, tile setting, plumbing experiece is not required but can be helpful. If you have any experience in these fields please elaborate.

You must be clean, hard working, honest, reliable, and have good interpersonal skills as you’ll be dealing with customers on a regular basis. You’ll need a clean drivers abstract to qualify for our vehicle or own a vehicle to carry the supplied equipment. You’ll also need a cell phone, and some knowledge of email/web applications. You’ll need a drivers licence and be bondable. Some long hours are expected – once a job is started it needs to be finished often in the same day. (Days range from 6-11 hours but are often in the 8-9 hour range.) Heavy lifting is required when moving equipment.
