JOB DESCRIPTION

The Director, Transactional Finance, Shared Services and Controls, is the corporate lead responsible for establishing standards and data integrity controls to ensure the consistency and accuracy of data entered into, as well as reported from, financial and statistical systems and databases including the monitoring of compliance with standards, statutory requirements, corporate policies, and practices. The Director leads the team of master data, reporting, and planning analysts, who support Order to Cash within defined service levels through the overseeing, evaluating, managing and recording master data and any associated reporting and analysis.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Below are the main job requirements and responsibilities for the Director, Transactional Finance, Shared Services and Controls.

• Directs the accurate and timely recording and maintaining of all customer and contract master data, including product pricing and rates.

• Ensures all service levels are met for the timely and accurate creation and maintenance of generic and non-generic customer master data, pricing elements, and all master data tables in SAP.

• Oversees the timely and accurate issuance of day to day reports for Order to Cash, within defined service levels. Leverages technical expertise to maximize efficiency through automation, reduction of duplication, and education. Leads the development and aiming of forecasts and business continuity plans for Order to Cash teams to ensure appropriate staff levels are in place (hiring, training, forecasting, capacity), and business requirements and service levels are met, including operations (RVUs, CDCs). Leverages expert knowledge in data collection and analysis to present customer insights, identify operational inefficiencies, and ensure effective financial controls. Acts as focal point for master data with both internal and external stakeholders while providing input and advice on cross-functional initiatives.

• Ensures that day-to-day performance indicators and process metrics are met and that controls are effective, efficient and accurately reflect the business reality for Canada Post and its customers. Provides recommendations on process improvements.

• Leads a team towards the achievement of functional objectives by providing guidance, support and direction to the team with a focus on collaboration and accountability. Regularly communicates business changes with the team and demonstrates visible, active leadership by acting with integrity and as a model of Canada Post’s Values and Leadership Behaviours and Habits.

• Manages and participates in complex projects which impact the Order to Cash group, in the role of recipient of change and implementation stabilization lead. In conjunction with cross-functional teams, analyzes performance results to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, implements process enhancements and continuous improvements, and prioritizes improvements to increase customer and corporate value.

• Guides coaches and inspires the management team in identifying motivated, high-performing, and engaged individuals with leadership qualities to develop for future leadership roles. Leads the consistent provision of appropriate training, coaching, mentoring and feedback opportunities. Recognizes and rewards exemplary leadership behaviours and performance as well as strides made to continuously improve.
