Canadian Accounting Consultants [CPA Recruitment]

Key responsibilities and oversight:

Oversee the execution of BU month end close and related deliverables
Operate as the Controller’s “right hand”, partnering with them on major initiatives
Drive automation of processes, improve utilisation of systems act as a key finance stakeholder in ERP implementation
Develop productive relationships across other BU finance teams to ensure effective communication
Ensure transactions are compliant with IFRS accounting standards
Monitor compliance with internal controls, recommending improvements when appropriate

The company is offering an excellent compensation package for this level including an attractive base salary, annual bonus program, long term incentives and RSP matching. Full remuneration details will be disclosed to all candidates under consideration.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

Designated Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA-CA or CPA), qualified at a top 6 accounting firm
7+ years of progressive experience including a minimum of 3 years coaching/leading a team
Practical experience of accounting deliverables in industry, ideally in a large scale/public company/IFRS environment
Proven experience in problem-solving and innovation including process improvements
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
