Canadian College of Technology and Business (CCTB) Looking for Marketing Administration Assistant at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Full Time

Position Job Title: Marketing Administration Assistant

Location: Vancouver, B.C.

Reports to: Marketing Director

Provides dedicated administrative support to the marketing department exclusively.

The successful candidate will be responsible for copywriting marketing materials, internal communication for marketing updates, market research, compiling and reporting on trends and statistics, monitoring active marketing campaigns, posting on digital marketing platforms, social listening, creation of video and written content at on-campus events, assisting with PR at events, scheduling and making improvements as needed. The chosen candidate will also be a part of a collaborative team that supports one another with completing monthly projects.

Experience with Notion, Google Analytics, Canva, video editing on SM channels and Adobe InDesign are an asset. Must be proficient in posting and analyzing social media platforms, Excel and Power Point or Prezzi.

Duties of the CCTB Marketing Admin Assistant will include:

• Communicating with external creative service providers
• Writing and editing content for different platforms such as social media, landing pages, website, email marketing, and press releases
• Coordinating replies on social media as needed
• Assisting with the design and launch of new website and content update
• Uploading and sharing content on social media, landing pages, and website properties
• Keeping track of marketing deadlines and scheduling marketing initiatives on Notion
• Helping organize and coordinate marketing events such as conferences, webinars, IG live, and trade shows
• Creating or updating presentation files or sales support materials
• Assisting with compiling and tracking budgets and expenses
• Collaborating internally, within and across departmental boundaries to identify and understand the target audience and project scope to deliver solutions on time, on-brand, and within budget
• Presenting creative and innovative ideas for marketing campaigns and brand awareness
• Creating photo and video content at on-campus events
• Participating in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
• Other tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Director of Marketing

Marketing Assistant Qualifications/Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Comfort with multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment
• Understanding of basic business and marketing concepts
• Excellent time management skills
• Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and social abilities
• Ability to spot emerging trends
• Familiarity with social media, social networking, email marketing and search engines
• Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Strong writing and copy-editing abilities

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or similar field of study required
• 1-3 years’ experience in marketing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Teams, SharePoint and Outlook)
• Demonstrated experience with social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, X and Tik Tok, Pinterest)
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud a plus
• Experience with Mailchimp/Stripo, Convertri, Notion, Hootsuite/Buffer, Umbraco/ WordPress and building landing pages is an asset
