Canadian Health Solutions is a rapidly growing group of healthcare companies who are looking to hire great candidates to join our team of professionals. Currently we are expanding our Human Resources Department and looking for a Human Resources Generalist.
To be successful in this role, you will have general HR experience in the areas of interviewing and hiring staff, administering pay, benefits and leave, and promoting and enforcing company policies and practices. Working with the Director of Human Resources you will assist in ensuring our HR department operates efficiently and aligns with our business objectives.

Responsibilities
Aide in the recruitment, interview and facilitate the hiring of job applicants for open positions.
Collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
Perform new hire onboarding and orientation.
Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications
Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assignments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and certifications.
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of Human Resources.
Assist in tracking key HR metrics like cost per hire and retention rates.
Manage internal communication projects (like job satisfaction surveys).
Assist in measuring the effectiveness of our benefits programs and recommend improvements.
Ensure our recordkeeping and data processing procedures comply with company requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required
CPHR designation considered an asset
Subspecialty(ies) in HR considered an asset
Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) including payroll tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Proficient in the Microsoft Office, Teams and SharePoint
Additional Details:
Location: 3700 Westfield Road, Saint John, NB, Canada. Occasional travel, primarily within New Brunswick.
Office Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm with the need to be flexible with any extended coverage or on call requirements.
