The Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) is the nation-wide leader and champion for mental health. CMHA facilitates access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience, and support recovery from mental illness.
Notre Dame Place, and Hope Centre are programs of CMHA/PEI Division and have been providing recovery focused rehabilitation supports to adults with Mental Illness and Addictions issues for 30 years. Individuals who access Notre Dame Place, and Hope Centre look for assistance in a variety of areas including but not limited to: housing, employment, education, skill development, prevocational supports and advocacy.
With funding from Skills PEI, Notre Dame Place and Hope Centre Clubhouse will be able to successfully provide a Work Place Essential Skills Program. The Work Place Essential Skills Program is one Intervention that contributes significantly to participant’s goal attainment and successes in increasing their education requirements for future educational programs and/or competitive employment opportunities.
The PEI Division of the Canadian Mental Health Association requires the services of a qualified individual to work as an
Instructor-Workplace Essential Skills Program to provide educational development and training to members of Notre Dame, and Hope Centre Clubhouse.
This is a one (1) Part-Time Employment (PTE) for 22- week sessions (Exact dates to be confirmed and NO sessions on summer months). This position will be located at our Summerside and Alberton Office .

· Vehicle and valid driver’s license required
· A satisfactory and current criminal records and vulnerable sector check
· CPR/First Aid
An asset to this position is a solid knowledge, sensitivity, and/or lived experience relating to the issues of mental health and addictions.
Hours of work: 19 hours/week in Summerside and 6 hours/week in Alberton. Some changes in teaching schedule maybe required
