Skills and Qualifications
Include, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:
Post Secondary Education (4 years);
Three (3) years of previous experience in Accounting, Financial Reporting, and/or FP&A;
Completion of a CPA designation;
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel) and strong ability to learn new systems;
Experience in different aspects of finance and accounting;
Demonstrated ability in financial modeling;
Knowledge of airline industry is an asset;
Must possess excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and problem solve independently;
Strong problem solving abilities;
Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal);
Ability to prioritize workload with a high degree of personal initiative and ability to work unsupervised;
Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions;
Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset;
Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
Proactive engagement and partnering with the Charter Operations team to provide detailed analysis of the income statement and KPI’s of the business unit;
Assist in the development of long term strategic plans;
Produce and maintain relevant metrics reports, including profitability by client and business line;
Create financial models to support key strategic decisions;
Work with cross-functional groups across the organization on annual budgets and rolling monthly forecasts supported by meaningful analysis of key variances;
Participate in the company’s continuous improvement program;
Analyze market trends and pricing;
Prepare and analyze reporting for pricing, revenue management and sales as required;
Participate closely with operations in the RFP process, including business case preparation;
Provide support and guidance to the sales and accounting and other internal stakeholders;
Prepare high-quality reports and presentations;
Other duties as assigned.
