PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
Located in Calgary, reporting to the R2R Business Partner, the R2R Business Analyst will assist in gathering requirements, analysis, prioritization, and testing of required functionality across all R2R related applications in support of business processes and procedures. The Business Analyst will assist the R2R Applications Team in all tasks required to achieve the organizational goals and is accountable for gathering, understanding and documenting business processes, and the requirements and specifications needed to recommend and implement new solutions that will enable the organization to achieve its goals.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
Create, execute and document business analysis activities
Provide training and knowledge to meet business requirements.
Provide recommendations on process improvements and system’s gap solution
Providing system and user problem aid and support to various CP departments and users
Develop, manage and implement specific change management strategies, plans and schedules
Facilitate stakeholder involvement in the development and implementation of all change initiatives
Assess, educate and communicate to the business information related to R2R applications upgrades and releases.
Creating and/or updating business process procedures documentation
Developing detailed test plans and scripts
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years of analyst or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience in change management initiatives using project management methodologies, including assessing training needs, customizing and delivering training
Aptitude understanding of the organization’s processes, systems and capabilities
Ability to use a wide variety of techniques to elicit requirements (i.e. Research, Verbal protocols, Focus groups, Brainstorming, Interviews, Questionnaires, Prototyping, etc.) and in using a variety of models/diagrams/documents to capture, document and interpret requirements
Ability to identify, analyze, recommend and implement solutions to a variety of change management issues as they arise
Ability to develop and manage change management tactical plans based on strategy documents.
Ability to build working relationships and integrate collaboratively with various teams
Skilled in facilitation, negotiation, gaining consensus and managing conflict of diverse stakeholder groups
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analytically, and deliver tactically
Ability to multitask and adaptability to changing priorities
Good organizational, planning and time management skills
Attention to detail and quality
Proven strong communication skills – both written and oral – with technical and non-technical staff and with management
Appreciation and understanding of how to deal with different cultural values and sensitivities and how to work in a virtual work environment
Ability to manage client expectations and negotiate win-win solutions
