Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts Looking for Server at British Columbia Full Time

To provide friendly, efficient food and beverage service to our clients, while maintaining a professional demeanor and appearance.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position
• Knowledge of Squirrel an asset
• Proserve (Alberta) or Serving It Right (British Columbia) certificate required
• Must be willing to work all shifts (AM, PM, and mid-shifts)
• Substantial knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
• Ability to endure

Responsibilities

• Be knowledgeable about the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus for both the Lounge and Dining Room (as well as Cilantro-on-the-Lake restaurant, during the summer months)
• Be knowledgeable about the house wine list
• Accurately take food and beverage orders, and ensure prompt delivery/quality of product
• Run food and bus tables in a fast-paced environment
• Properly present checks to guests, and ensure cash-outs are completed correctly
• Complete mise en place and other daily duties as assigned, including polishing, cleaning, cutlery, and linens
• Be aware of dietary and allergy concerns
• Present, open, pour, and serve wine in appropriate glasses
• Make house signature cocktails
• Able to discuss the CRMR wine program, including description of all white and red wine by the glass
• Make specialty coffees
• Work well both independently and as a team player
• Be adaptable for large groups and banquet shifts, both during the day and at night
• Perform function room set-ups/tear-downs (setting tables, chairs, cutlery, linen)
• Maintain a professional attitude and use appropriate verbiage
• Any other duties as required/communicated by the F&B Managers
• Arrive on time and groomed appropriately, as per CRMR Employee Handbook
• Assist other departments, as needed
