As a Copywriter, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of strategic communication plans and promoting internal communication with all employees. You will also maintain our showroom, ensuring our customers have a great experience; helping our sales teams achieve their sales objectives.

Responsibilities:
Support the development and execution of a comprehensive, strategic communication plan that positively contributes to building knowledge, company culture, and employee engagement across the country
Administer internal digital channels, engage other resources, and develop content and creative for internal and external communication channels
Support the development of communications for issues and crises, and serve as an alternate contact
Write internal communications such as executive communications, speaking points, corporate publications, statements, key messages, event messages, and employee town hall messages and develop presentations
Plan and maintain Canon Canada’s HQ showroom ensuring the brand and products are well-represented, occupancy is maximized, and the space is a space that inspires revenue generation
Participate in special corporate projects and initiatives in a communications and branding role
Support the development and execution of external communications to positively represent Canon’s brand to external stakeholders
Partner with Canon USA’s Communications team to drive and promote Canon Canada’s communications and news
Research and identify communication trends and best practices for Canon Canada in order to ensure communications effectively reach target audiences
Support Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental initiatives, including the administration of sponsorships and donations
To Succeed, You Will Need:
Post-secondary education in communications, public relations, marketing, or business
5-8 years of experience in corporate communications
Strong project and process management skills
Ability to analyze and decide the timing and methods of communications
Excellent computer and technical skills to troubleshoot various content management systems including SharePoint and Scala, develop presentations in PowerPoint, produce reports in Excel, and use Photoshop
Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks
French is an asset

HYBRID WORK:
This position offers a Hybrid work schedule. You will be required to be in the office Mondays and Wednesdays each week, with the ability to work from home for the remainder of the week (subject to specific business needs requiring office attendance)
