Currently, we are recruiting for an Event Coordinator.

As the Event Coordinator at Stanley Park Pavilion, you will have the pleasure of showcasing on of the most beautiful event venues in Vancouver. The Event Coordinator is responsible for the planning, preparation and delivery of all events hosted at the Stanley Park Pavilion. We are a well established company that is always committed to growing. We are seeking an individual that is dedicated and professional, with high standards surrounding guest satisfaction and working with a team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Coordinate a variety of events including; corporate dinners, weddings, private parties and internal events,
• Organize and manage Stanley Park Pavilion events, both in the run-up, on-site and post-event,
• Respond to event related enquiries and conduct site visits,
• Manage the internal communications for event preparation, set up and take down,
• Build and manage relationships and event contractors, including caterers and supply rentals,
• Maintain detailed and accurate event files, e.g. recording contact and financial information,
• Oversee the financial management of events,
• Revenue maximization with clients to up sell on additional services, premium services and decor,
• Other duties, as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role, within the hospitality industry,
• Diploma or degree in events management, marketing, communication, public relations or business, an asset,
• Professional appearance and attitude,
• Strong communication skills, second language an asset
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment,
• Passion for being a part of a growing business,
• Able to work a variety of shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays, to meet the needs of the business,
• Class 5 license and available vehicle preferred

$50,000-$55,000 annually.
