Marine Institute
(On-Call Contractual Position to June 21, 2024)
The catering and conference services unit of the Marine Institute provides meal services to students, employees and clients and caters for meetings and conferences. The Marine Institute is currently seeking to fill an on-call contractual position for Food Service Worker / Cashier at the Ridge Road campus.
DUTIES
The successful applicant will be responsible for a variety of conference and catering duties. Duties include operating cash register; preparing sales reconciliation and deposits; operating commercial kitchen equipment; assembling a variety of foods; servicing food and beverage; organizing and sanitizing service areas; dishwashing; receiving and storing supplies; and performing other related duties as required.
Qualifications
Experience (1-3 years) in an institutional food service environment; graduation from high school; an equivalent combination of experience and training may be considered. Knowledge of food safety, customer service, cash handling, and service of catered functions is required.
SALARY: $32,733 to $45,905 per annum ($17.99 to $25.22 per hour) (NAPE Local 7850)
