We are currently recruiting for Pension Administrators to join the team in the Dartmouth, Nova Scotia office.

Reporting to the Pensions Operations Lead, this position is responsible for providing effective and efficient administration of group and individual pension plans

Responsibilities

• Support the lifecycle of the plan from enrolment of new members, fund transfers, withdrawals and policy terminations
• Ensure accurate completion of the enrolment process including the collection and processing of AML and FATCA related documentation
• Track pending transactions in the appropriate log and track workflows in the necessary ticketing system
• Assist the Customer Care team with responding to client queries related to member statements, investment returns, outstanding contributions, internal processes and turnaround times as well as relevant legislation
• Complete all transactions within stated service level standard and regulatory requirements
• Assist with any special or ad hoc projects as needed

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education with a major in Business preferred, or the equivalent knowledge gained through a combination of education and experience
• Minium of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, such as in financial services, mutual fund administration, or insurance is an asset, however recent graduates will be considered
• Knowledge of AML and/or FATCA would be considered an asset
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to handle confidential issues
• Good analytical skills and attention to detail across multiple systems
• Client-centric service philosophy with a strong focus on quality
• Be team oriented and collaborative
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time during peak volume periods in a fast paced environment
