Carmen’s Group Looking for Line Cook – Arlington Hotel at Ontario Full Time

T he Arlington Hotel is a boutique, historic hotel in the heart of Paris, Ontario. The Arlington Hotel is a part of Carmen’s Group; an entertainment and hospitality company committed to creating extraordinary experiences to our guests and clients.

If you have the desire to work as a Line Cook in a bar with a picturesque backdrop modelled after the bars in some of our favourite hotels and  are looking to join a team of champions we want to meet you.

Job Types: part-time, permanent

Wages: $17-20/hr 

OUR LINE COOK HAS THE OPPORTUNITY TO:  

• Ensure orders are prepared in an accurate and timely manner in accordance to Carmen’s Group standards, focusing on minimizing waste and overall presentation

• Assure the proper care and maintenance of all food service equipment 

• Perform opening and closing duties as needed

• Ensure food quality by maintaining high levels of cleanliness, organization, storage, and sanitation 

• Take direction from the Executive Chef and Sous Chef 

• Strive to uphold a safe working environment and be health and safety conscious

• Other duties as assigned

  LINE COOK POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards 

• Self-motivated, self-directed individual who requires minimal supervision 

• Minimum two to three years’ experience in the food and/or hospitality industry in a culinary role

• Positive, outgoing and friendly team player

• Strong problem solving abilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment

• Safe Food Handlers Certificate an asset

• Culinary trade papers or Red Seal designation considered an asset

• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends to support event and restaurant operations
