Human Resources Assistant
Job Description:
The Human Resources (HR) Assistant does NOT have to have HR education or experience. The HR assistant will report directly to the HR manager. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic and motivated individual who efficiently carries out clerical duties and assists the HR manager with miscellaneous duties when needed.
Required education and skills:
1. Bachelor’s Degree (in any field)
2. Respects and follows HR manager’s instructions
3. Performs clerical and miscellaneous duties in a responsible, efficient, and accurate manner
4. Is organized when filing documents and juggling various responsibilities
5. Can think, speak, and write clearly and logically
6. Has strong ability to use Microsoft Office Applications (especially Word and Excel)
7. Experience in a clerical or office assistant role is not required but is valued
The HR Manager will train the assistant to fulfill the following responsibilities:
1. Respond to HR-related inquiries in-person and via email
2. Check daily attendance for all employees
3. Record absences and incidents of tardiness
4. Make and post the weekly schedule
5. Help to process the payroll every 2 weeks
6. Submit application forms to help set up insurance for employees
7. Prepare employment verification letters
8. Assist the HR manager with miscellaneous duties when needed
