A bit about the role & team:
Development Success spans our entire organization enabling development teams to deliver on their requirements. We align our solutions around CaseWare’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). We manage and maintain our organization’s GitHub monorepo (built on-top of the nx framework) and extend our internal solutions to external partners.
Our most frequently used programming languages are TypeScript and Java.
Some of our frameworks of choice are angular, spring-boot, nestjs, jest, and cypress. Our CI/CD pipelines are heavily dependent on GitHub actions, docker, yarn, gradle.We focus on providing developers the tools and techniques they need to build scalable, robust software that can be quickly deployed and tested through automation.
A typical day may include:
improvements and updates to existing systems: local development environment, build and deployment pipeline, shared frontend and/or backend libraries used to build on our customizable cloud platform (SDK)
designing or implementing new solutions for internal and external development teams (ranging from local development to production runtime in AWS)
pair-programming with developers across our organization to unblock any issues they face
An ideal developer on our team is eager to:
learn (languages, technologies, frameworks)
assist others (we pair program a lot)
quickly shift between tasks
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Shareable code repository demonstrating best practices of software development including commit history, branch strategies, and testing
Strong programming aptitude, as demonstrated by high achievement in Computer Science courses
Education:
Working towards a B.Sc./B.Eng. in Computer Science or Software Engineering
