Centerfire is currently seeking self motivated, experienced individual to join our workforce as a Project Manager.

Opportunity: Project Manager

Schedule: Schedule and work hours to vary depending on work scope. Flexible but busy work schedule, working up to 12 hours per day.

Job Location: Fort McMurray- Local hires are preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and guide the project teams through concise communication, coordination, and follow-up as necessary to meet the project goals
• Track schedule and budget progress with project milestones, and taking all actions necessary for deadline compliance
• Ensure the scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understood by senior management and all project members, including the client
• Prepare project files, budgets, tracking FCN’s, estimates, and construction schedule
• Identify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in the project scope, budget, and/or schedule
• Conduct site inspections and participate in onsite meetings to assess progress
• Maintain constant communication with the client to ensure that their needs and project deliverables are met in a timely manner, and make adjustments as they arise
• Conduct regular on and off-site project reviews with safety, QA and operational (KPI) performance
• Provide support and assistance to field supervision as required, ensure clients plans and desires are communicated effectively to field supervision
• Adhere to and ensure health and safety compliance and procedures are being held to the highest standard.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience working in heavy civil and clearing construction projects
• Must have valid Class 5 driver’s license and provide a 5 year drivers abstract that meets insurance requirements.
• Financial proficiency and excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel
• PMP designation is considered an asset
• Completion of post-secondary education in Civil Engineering preferred
• Ability to speak, write and read English is required
• Pre-access 8 panel D&A with breath alcohol
• Self-motivated, flexible and proactive with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong safety culture

• CSTS 2020/ WHMIS 2020
• Ground Disturbance Level 2
• Standard First Aid/CPR
• TDG
• OSSA Wildlife (in class with bear spray)
• H2S Alive; CSTS2020
• Confined Space OSSA
• Leadership for safety excellence
