Central Hardware 2018 Ltd. Requires drywall packers who are responsible for completing assigned tasks in the yard, including serving customers, building loads for delivery, handling drywall and materials in the yard and sheds. Report to the yard foreman.
Key responsibility will be assisting with the delivery of drywall in addition to the following:
Greet customers warmly and ensure a good customer experience.
Quickly learn yard and material layout.
Assist with the preparation of trucks for loading
Load materials to the satisfaction of customers and maintain an emphasis on safety, service, and efficiency
General housekeeping duties, stocking of merchandise or various yard and warehouse tasks are as required or directed by management
Stacking, sorting shipments, completion of paperwork
Practice and promote workplace safety standards
Flexible work hours with weekend availability
Open and closing procedures as needed in the yard.
Assist with daily upkeep of the yard including off -loading trucks, culling lumber,
Organizing stock, cleaning, price labelling and maintaining pallets/stock.

Skills and Qualifications
Valid forklift certification (propane) is an asset or be willing to be trained.
Effective written and oral communication skills
Lift up to 50 lbs.
Basic hand tool skills
Ability to work as a team
Ability to work outside in all conditions.
Physical requirements include:
Ability to work outside in all conditions.
Ability to pack drywall
Frequently climbing up and down stairs
Pulling, pushing, bending and torso twisting movements with weight
Full time Position $19:00 to 21:00 per hour 8 hour shift 5 days per week may include weekends.
Experience: Lumber Yard beneficial but not essential
