Position – Site Supervisor
We are currently seeking a Site Supervisor. The Site Supervisor oversees and manages all on-site construction activities, ensures client projects are executed safely and that they meet project quality, schedule and financial goals. This role pro-actively manages projects from start up through to completion in the highest quality manner, while keeping in constant communication with all parties involved throughout the duration of the project.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Develops a detailed action plan and schedule to execute the project on time and on budget and mobilizes labour, equipment and material resources
· Maximizes site productivity by managing and coordinating the work performance, quality and efficiency of labourers and subcontractors
· Working with the Project Managers, reviews project plans and specifications and helps to identify overall design intent, scheduling, possible cost saving measures and potential issues
· Interprets plans and specifications, ensuring compliance with working drawings and specs
· Manages subcontractor activities ensuring adherence to project construction schedule and budget
· Liaises effectively and maintains regular communication with all involved on the project- the Project Managers, Landlords, Clients, Consultants, Architects, Engineers and Designers
· Creates a safe work environment by implementing strict Health & Safety guidelines and ensuring compliance with all related legislation and safe practices
· Coordinates projects with municipalities, environmental protection agencies, etc. to ensure continuous operation of services
· Exercises legal due diligence, including maintenance of a daily job history log, inspecting workmanship to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and identifying resources required to mitigate potential risks and hazards
· Oversees project close out activities, including permits and quick resolution of deficiencies and site cleanup
Requirements and Qualifications
· Ability to read and understand drawings and specifications
· Understanding of applicable federal, provincial and city health and safety and construction-related legislation
· Strong leadership skills to effectively hold others accountable for achieving project goals
· Flexible; ambitious self-starter; solid team player with a positive attitude who fosters teamwork and cooperation with a strong ability to lead a highly functional team
· Relationship savvy and high level of interpersonal skills
· Exceptional time management to prioritize activities and allocate resources effectively
· Commitment to recognizing and mitigating risks; strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills; high degree of integrity, honesty and ethics
· Minimum High School Education and 2-3 similar experience

Salary: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
