Toronto, Ontario (CA): 2 factories and 1 distribution Center (cookies)
Columbus, Ohio (USA): 1 factory (cookies & rolled dough)
Liberty, South Carolina (USA): 1 factory (pancakes & waffles)

In 2020, we reset and refocused the business around the Toronto facilities for cookies, while adding rolled dough products with an excellent reputation and distribution across the US retailers, to our portfolio.
In March 2021, US Waffle, leader in pancakes & waffles joined the Cerelia family; in June 2021, we opened a new, state-of-the art, 150,000 sqft factory in Columbus, Ohio.

Primary Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior FP&A Manager, the Finance Operations Manager, Toronto Division responsibilities serve as the finance business partner providing support to corporate finance and Supply Chain and Operation team. This position will be responsible for financial analysis of COGS and Logistic spending,
Understand where we make money – Ensure the one source of information is credible, meaningful, and supports transparent reporting and insight:
Financial Results and Reporting:
Prepare financial analysis to monitor spending in complete COGS. Provide insightful analysis and recommendations to drive decision making
Establish and report against KPIs for the business Establish, monitor, and enforce internal controls and ensure compliance with division policies and procedures
Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures
Collect, interpret, and report financial data while gleaning insight from financial results with an increasing focus on analytics
Assist in the development of annual plant budget and periodic forecasts
Provide financial direction / support to site manager / core management teams
Support physical inventory reporting and cycle count analysis
Operational Efficiencies
Work with Operation and Supply Chain team to drive efficiency improvement and cost reductions
Review, recommend, and assist in the evolution of systems and processes to ensure efficient and effective delivery of internal accounting and finance support
Document inventory adjustment – develop process of documentation of the inventory adjustment
Cost Accounting:
Analyzing manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization
Manage and support all general accounting, cost accounting, and fixed asset activities
Provide direct support to plant management team in a variety of financial, accounting and operational areas
Support and maintain internal controls functions of the plant
Analyzing inventory valuations
Monitor and track the CAPEX budget and provide financial support for new CAPEX projects
Logistics
In-depth analysis on freight costs and insights into cost mitigation
Provide support to the VP Supply Chain & Transformation in Carrier negotiations
Monitor logistics costs and provide outlook on cost evaluation
Entrance Qualifications
University degree in Business or Finance discipline
Position is 100% onsite
Comfortable walking the manufacturing floor 5 days per week
CPA or equivalent designation preferred
Excellent computer skills, specifically with advance Excel and PowerPoint
5-7 years experience in operation finance
Food Service / Retail Industry Experience: brings a thorough, yet modern approach to food services and/or retail, ideally a proven and well-respected entity in the grocery and / or food manufacturing industry.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other departments and build strong working relationships, combined with an approachable disposition
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Enthusiastic learner and proactive individual with the ability to effectively manage various projects concurrently
Strong time management and organizational skills. A results-oriented individual with excellent problem solving and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task and deliver high-quality results within specified time frames
Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and make judgments, and a sense of urgency will be important to the candidate’s success
Must be comfortable working in an entrepreneurial spirited, fast-paced and changing workplace environment with a desire to make a strong impact on the business
Must have excellent initiative, be a self-starter with a keen attention to details
Must have the ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
