CFMWS’ Finance division provides relevant, reliable, and cost effective financial management and accounting services to support the success of CFMWS operations.
THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Clerk codes, totals, batches, enters, verifies and reconciles transactions related to accounts payables and receivables, payroll, purchase orders, cheques, invoices, cheque requisitions, and bank statements in a computer system. They calculate, prepare, and issue documents or reports related to accounting such as financial statements and other managerial information reports, using computerized and manual systems. They receive source accounting documents, verifies for policy compliance and enters them in the appropriate accounting registers. They verifies the accuracy and integrity and assists in the preparation of financial statements and other management reports.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
High school diploma AND several years of experience in accounting
Experience
In accounting
In data entry, data manipulation, record-keeping and retrieval techniques
In drafting correspondence and reports
In office administration
In providing customer service
In maintaining electronic and manual filing systems
Experience in Prophet software is considered an asset
Competencies, Skills and Abilities
