Job Purpose
CHA Learning, the professional development division of HealthCareCAN, is looking for a dynamic eLearning Developer to join our high-performing learning team. The eLearning Developer plays an essential role in shaping and leading the instructional design and development of engaging and effective distance education courses aimed at empowering healthcare professionals in their pursuit to be great leaders and deliver superlative service.

This position requires a person who can both work collaboratively and cross-functionally in a team environment. Working with CHA Learning’s Directors of Strategic Solutions, Senior Learning Specialist, external partners, and subject-matter experts (SMEs), the eLearning Developer will use their technical expertise to contribute to the design and development of learning programs and solutions based on industry-leading adult learning principles and instructional design best practices. The goal is to enhance the learner experience and align to desired performance outcomes.
In this role, you will participate in the end-end life cycle of course creation. You are a hands-on builder who will not only develop new courses but support the evaluation and ongoing maintenance of existing educational materials, courses, and programs. As such, you have strong technical, written and verbal communication skills. You are an innovator, a problem solver, and a creative force who wants to make a difference. And you are balanced with business acumen and pragmatism using tools to efficiently produce cost-effective learning solutions. You know the importance of asking the right questions (“What are we teaching?” “Who are we developing it for?” “What impact do we want to make?”) and of making sure the program sponsor does too.
