About the Job
Are you an exceptional communicator, a problem solver at heart, and committed to helping customers achieve success? Checkfront is seeking a talented Onboarding Specialist to support our popular cloud-based booking and e-commerce application.
We have a great approach in our Sales team that fosters, incentivizes, and rewards teamwork. Our approach to sales compensation is different, new, and rooted in teamwork and overall results.
Candidates chosen to interview for this position will have a minimum two years of experience in onboarding, technical support, account management, sales or equivalent roles. Also important are impeccable communication skills, good technical knowledge of SaaS environments, and a positive attitude. A technical background will help in this role; we are seeking experience in either sales or technical roles.
Our star candidates will also have the following qualities:
- A real team player, you know when to handle things on your own, when to discuss with your peers, and when to bring them in to help seal the deal – no penalties here for working together; we love it when this happens!
- Driven, self-motivated, and possessing both excellent time management skills and impeccable follow-through
- Outgoing, empathetic, and quickly able to build rapport with others
- Have worked successfully in a customer-facing role in a remote atmosphere (work from home) in the past
Note that we are seeking candidates who reside in the Central, Eastern, and Atlantic time zones. This position is a remote position with travel to Victoria, BC, approximately once per year (maybe more during onboarding/training.)
Some tasks you’ll be taking on
Working within a global market, you will endeavour to:
- Provide proactive outreach to trial customers via phone, live chat, and email
- Conduct short onboarding meetings as booked by trial customers
- Manage an ongoing queue of trial customers to ensure timely and relevant engagement
- Commit to ongoing learning and personal development of knowledge of our product to provide maximum value during these customer interactions
- Support trial customers through a broad range of product and implementation topics, with the goal of upgrading their Checkfront account
- Provide Sales with a pipeline of warm leads, identify Enterprise level customers, and work within the team to provide the best possible experience for our trial users
- Assist trial users with upgrading their Checkfront accounts
- Inform customers about Checkfront’s entire product line and package offerings
- Engage with Sales Enablement to realize timely solutions and answers for our trial customers
- Engage with other teams within the organization as necessary
- Document findings, observations, and trends, and share these insights with Sales Enablement
- Report results, track performance, and identify opportunities for improvement
Ideally, you should have
- Minimum two years of experience in onboarding, technical support, account management, sales or equivalent role
- Strong technical knowledge from education or experience, and prefer previous experience with technology-based solutions
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the enthusiasm and confidence to jump on unscheduled customer calls
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, and can work both independently with minimal supervision or as part of a team
- Creative thinker and strategic problem solver
- Positive customer-focused attitude
- Ability to embrace change and a desire to try new things
- A strong capability to be part of a team who truly works together toward all goals
Bonus points for
- Experience in working with the tourism, travel or SaaS industries
- Familiarity with payment gateways (Paypal, Stripe, Square, Authorize.net), Google Adwords, Google Analytics
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and exposure to programming languages
